Your cell phone is dirtier than a toilet. Here's help!

Cell phones harbor thriving colonies of bacteria and viruses. Researchers say, for example, that cell phones are major carriers of superbugs in hospitals. Now, a new gadget helps you sterilize your phone!

It's no wonder cell phones are so disgusting. Our hands are dirty -- we shake hands with people who are sick, touch bathroom door knobs and pet the dog -- and our mouths spew whatever disease-causing viruses and bacteria are infecting our bodies. Cell phones are constantly coming into contact with both hands and mouth. When they're not, they tend to be tucked a way in pockets, a nice, warm environment that promotes the growth of microorganisms.

Researchers at Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey tested the cell phones of 200 doctors and nurses and found that nearly all -- 95 percent -- were tainted with bacteria, with some carrying the MRSA superbug that can sicken and even kill patients and that cannot be defeated with any antibiotic. They concluded that doctors and nurses were infecting patients with their cell phones. In the US, MRSA is the cause of most hospital infections.

There are several things you can do to protect yourself and others from your own cell phone. The easiest is to frequently clean your phone with rubbing alcohol.

You can also use a new product from PureLight, a company that makes UV wants for sterilizing large surfaces. Their new portable wand is designed for cell phones.

For the best protection, you can also use one of the methods above, plus use a Bluetooth headset most of the time, to minimize the mouth and hand contact with the phone.

Browser Clone: Iron Instead of Google Chrome

"A new product, Iron, is a viable alternative for those reluctant to reveal their personal data when using Google's Chrome browser. The Iron browser is based on Chrome's source code. "

The new Iron browser is under a BSD license and its producer, software company SRWare, has removed all Chrome functionality compromising data security. SRWare offers a free download from their website.

Unlike Chrome, Iron does not create unique user IDs, nor does it send URIs to Google for generating search hints. Installation of the software will also be transparent to Google. SRWare's browser clone should be just as fast as Chrome and uses version 525.19 of Apple's WebKit Engine.

Adoption of the browser by Linux users is still to be seen. Although Iron runs native on Windows and Mac systems, it requires Wine on Linux. During a test on Wine 1.1.5 with Kubuntu 8.04, the browser took up plenty of CPU resource, but failed to start.

Hi-Speed torrent download !!!!!

Hello guyz... Ever downloaded torrents??? U might've felt that torrents are the slowest thing in the whole internet.... Many of u , after trying the torrents by urself, may have quitted it....

Here's the efficient way of downloading the torrents at Hi-Speed.... The trick (Actually not a trick) involves in giving your torrent file or URL to another website which will download it for you ... After it finishes , It will give you a directlink... Using ur favourite download managers or the browser itself, You can download your downloaded torrent at Hi-Speed bcoz you are currently downloading directly from the server.....

1. Goto ur favourite tracker site.... (Eg. http://mininova.org or http://thepiratebay.org or whatever site).
2. Copy the Torrent URL...
3. Now headover to " http://imageshack.us "
4. If u have account already, No problem just signin.... Others create a new account....
5. After creating new account... Just sign in.....
6. Click on "DOWNLOAD TORRENTS" link shows at your imageshack homepage (after signing in)...
7. now give ur torrent link (OR) just upload the torrent file...
8. Click go..
9. Now select the files which the imageshack server wants to download it for u..... (As you are doing it in your bit-torrent client)
10. choose the option "Save & download" .
11. Now click "Continue"
12. Now the actual trick comes into play :
The Imageshack server has two plans
a) free user
b) Paid user
The freeusers have shared bandwidth allocation.... And the paid user have unique bandwidth allocation.... Since we are downloading as a free user, usually we get the Error message "Shared download pool limit for free accounts has reached it's limit. Please try again later." if this message occurs, use "Automatic reload script Add-on" for firefox.... And reload the same page at every 5-secs interval.... There wont be any problem bcoz both the download page and the error page shares the same URL.....
13. After the "downloading page" arrives.... Just close the browser or You can even shutdown your computer , No problem... The server is now downloading the torrent file for you.....
14. Go and visit the imageshack website after one day..... if your torrent download is completed by the server, you can click the "download" button... And wait for the download link....
15. Once u get the download link, copy and paste it in ur browser or in your favourite download manager..... And download the file at Hi-Speed ( 175 or 190 KBps in case of 2Mbps connection)
16. Instead of waiting for days and weeks for downloading torrent file, It is much better to wait for one day...

There is only one limitation in Imageshack...... For freeusers, the server provides space upto 5GB with 10GB of bandwidth every month..... After finishing the download, you can delete the file so that you can download another file within 5GB.... There are also many paid plans which 10 B / 25 GB / 100 GB Disk space with 15 GB / 50 GB / 200 GB Bandwidth...
